Soy Haitiana, trabajo en Espacio Migrante con la comunidad haitiana, que consiste en hacer contacto e interpretación con las personas en contexto de movilidad que tienen la barrera del lenguaje y la comunicación para poder recibir información, considero que es una labor muy importante, ya que la comunidad necesita ser escuchada de viva voz, para mí es un honor permitir la comunicación entre Espacio Migrante y la comunidad. Parte del trabajo que he realizado antes de venir a México, ha sido como servicio comunitario en diversas instituciones y en la iglesia. Convirtiéndose la labor social una de mis pasiones, soy estudiante de la carrera de psicología, porque considero que el bienestar tanto mío como el de los demás es importante, mi formación me ha vuelto más empática y resiliente con los demás, motivándome a continuar trabajando con la comunidad, especialmente con la comunidad haitiana. Tanto los retos que he enfrentado como migrante en el 2017, me han ayudado a que no quiero que los demás pasen por lo mismo que yo, que fueron obstáculos en el idioma y la información como extranjera aquí en Tijuana. Por ello, otro reto en mi labor en Espacio Migrante es que se den cuenta de que la localidad de Baja California y el gobierno, que los migrantes que deben tener las mismas oportunidades y la calidad de vida que cualquier ser y espero con mi formación aportar más a la comunidad migrante.

I am Haitian, I work in Espacio Migrante with the Haitian community, which consists of making contact and interpreting with people in a context of mobility who have language and communication barriers to receive information, I consider it to be a very important task since the community needs to be heard out loud, for me it is an honor to allow communication between Espacio Migrante and the community. Part of the work I have done before coming to Mexico has been community service in various institutions and in the church. With social work becoming one of my passions, I am a psychology student, because I consider that the well-being of both myself and others is important, my training has made me more empathic and resilient with others, motivating me to continue working with the community, especially with the Haitian community. Both the challenges that I have faced as a migrant in 2017 have helped me because I do not want others to go through the same thing as me, which were obstacles in the language and information as a foreigner here in Tijuana. Therefore, another challenge in my work at Espacio Migrante is for them to realize that the town of Baja California and the government, that migrants should have the same opportunities and quality of life as any being, and I hope with my training to contribute more to the migrant community.
